THE Football Conference is to be renamed as National League from next season, it has been announced. Vanarama has confirmed that it will continue with its sponsorship of the competition.
The newly-branded Vanarama National League will comprise the fifth and sixth tiers of English football and will feature a new logo and an extended three year TV broadcasting deal with BT Sport.

Brian Barwick, incoming National League chairman, said that the new brand will “offer much to our existing partners whilst opening up new opportunities”.
As part of the changes, the fifth tier of English football, currently called the Conference Premier, will become the Vanarama National League.
The current Conference North and South, which are the two divisions of the sixth tier, will be called the Vanarama National League North and the Vanarama National League South.
In addition, the national League will have its own TV channel called NLTV, which will exclusively provide coverage on the 68 member clubs across the three divisions.
Brian Lee, Outgoing Conference chairman said;
“Our announcement around the name change and broadcasting channel excites me and I sincerely hope it excites the football world.”
