For busy company car drivers the stand-out feature among an array of new technology is a new wireless charger for mobile devices at the base of the central instrument stack.
With ‘foreign object detection’, the 5W charging system activates when a ‘compatible’ device, as yet unspecified, is placed on the pad. It will also warn car owners when they’ve left a phone on the charger when they leave the vehicle. The system displays the phone’s charging condition on the instrument cluster, and features a safety system to prevent overheating while in use.
Rising stars of the engine range include a new 1.6-litre T-GDI turbo petrol direct injection and significantly upgraded 2.0-litre turbo diesel.
The 1.6-litre T-GDI is also available exclusively for GT Line buyers, offering a combination of lively performance and high fuel economy to customers looking for a sportier drive.
