Every vehicle supplied by leasing company Alphabet will now come with a free driver licence check and online driver risk assessment.

The move breaks entirely new ground in the business car industry, says Alphabet.

“From now on, this is a standard feature of all our vehicle funding products. Alphabet is once again leading the way for our industry by making driver safety an integral part of the acquisition process,” commented Paul Hollick, general manager sales development, Alphabet.

Every Alphabet vehicle contract will now include a free driver licence check for one licence-holder.

Businesses opting for Alphabet contract hire will also receive a free online driver risk assessment for one driver. This has been developed using expert research carried out by Cranfield University.

“Driver safety is of paramount concern for fleet operators and, with this unique product, Alphabet is the only company supplying these two essential components of risk management free with every vehicle delivered,” said Hollick.

However, there is a drawback for small business car managers. You need to be operating 25 business cars before Alphabet will deal with you. The company is more focused on the larger fleet operators.
