Next generation Vivaro stays in UK

VAUXHALL’S Luton plant has been spared the axe in the GM-Renault van production network. The two partners have announced the production locations for the next generation of the successful Vauxhall Vivaro and Renault Trafic models. From 2013, and Vauxhall has confirmed that the next generation Vivaro will be built at its plant in Luton UK.

“The Luton plant will continue to play an important role in the Opel/Vauxhall manufacturing network,” said a spokesman. Meanwhile, Renault will produce the new Trafic at its plant in Sandouville, northern France, alongside the next generation of the H2 (high roof) version of Vivaro. The current H2 vans are made at Nissan
