Honda showed a ‘concept’ version of its new Tourer estate model at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Honda said it gave an indication of what the new car will look like.

The new Honda Accord range – both saloon and Tourer estate – will go on sale midway through 2008.

The new car promises sportier styling, new chassis technology for a more involving drive, and greater interior space.

The all-new Accord will be powered by a range of advanced, low emissions engines. These will all be Euro5 emission compliant.

Euro5 emission diesel engines may qualify for a 3% company car discount in the future.

The current engine range will continue: two petrol engines – 2.0- and 2.4-litres – and one 2.2-litre diesel.

But the new engines promise more power with lower emissions.
