New Renault Laguna targets business car market

The new Renault Laguna goes on sale in October.

It will be available as a five-door hatchback.

And as a Sport Tourer estate model.

There will initially be six engine options. A six-speed gearbox will be offered on all models.

Renault says the new Laguna will have sportier handling. But the ride will be comfortable. And the engines economical.

It is also expected to feature high levels of safety features. The previous Laguna was awarded five safety stars by Euro-NCAP.

  • 2.0-litre 140bhp petrol engine
  • 2.0-litre 160bhp Turbo petrol engine
  • 1.5-litre dCi 110bhp turbo diesel engine
  • 2.0-litre dCi 130bhp turbo diesel engine
  • 2.0-litre dCi 150bhp turbo diesel engine
  • 2.0-litre dCi 175bhp turbo diesel engine
  • Six-speed manual gearbox
  • Six-speed auto gearbox on 2.0-litre dCi 150
  • On sale 12 October
